Nathaniel had to have been one of the 7 children who along with their father escaped death during the Indian attack on Mar 15, 1697. He belonged to the "snowshoe men" of Haverhill, in 1710, under Col. Saltonstall. In 1717 Thomas and Hannah deeded to "son Nathaniel", one half part of their homestead on what is now monument street. "20 acres more or less, being ye one half part of my living I formally lived on, on ye west side of Saw Mill River and ye easterly part thereof."
